alamak!: The Contemporary Aesthetics of Asian Art and Design will hold a private exhibition opening on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the alamak! Gallery located at Strausberger Platz 3, 10243, Berlin. NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale will present Francesco Clemente: Dormiveglia from October 23, 2016 through August 23, 2017 . This exhibition includes a series of nine, majestic large-scale paintings by Francesco Clemente (born 1952 in Naples, Italy, lives and works in New York and India). Painted in New York in 1998, the Dormivegliaseries takes its title from the Italian expression connoting the state between sleep and awakening and captures the state in which reality intrudes into the realm of dreams.

From October 26 - December 23, 2016, Iván Navarro transforms Paul Kasmin Gallery, 293 Tenth Avenue, into a synesthetic environment with his exhibition Mute Parade. The Chilean-born artist’s second solo show with the gallery continues Navarro’s ongoing use of light, sound, and language to engage with issues of power, migration, and propaganda.

Collateral event of the Venice Architecture Biennale focuses on new technologies and user experience in airports
Organized by the European Cultural Centre, and as part of the official collateral events of the 15th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezi, AERIAL FUTURES, GROUNDED VISIONS: Shaping the Airport Terminal of Tomorrow is a two-day symposium taking place October 17-19, 2016. The symposium will encourage discussion about the future of air travel from the perspectives of architecture, design, technology, culture and user experience.

Paul Kasmin Gallery is pleased to announced the forthcoming exhibition, Impasse Ronsin, which will be on view at 515 West 27th Street from October 27, 2016 through January 14, 2017. Taking as its focus the historic Parisian alley once home to the studios of Constantin Brancusi, William N. Copley, Max Ernst, Yves Klein, Les Lalanne, Larry Rivers, Niki de Saint Phalle, Jean Tinguely and numerous other seminal 20th century artists, the exhibition will include work by these artists in an elaborate installation designed to embody the collaborative atmosphere of the Impasse Ronsin.

NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale will present the first U.S. solo museum exhibition of London-based, Malawian artist Samson Kambalu. Featuring 12 of the artist's recent films, Samson Kambalu: Nyau Cinema will be on view from November 25, 2016- April 23, 2017. The exhibition is curated by Bonnie Clearwater, NSU Art Museum Director and Chief Curator.

Published by Kehrer Verlag, Berlin this new photography publication will present artist Rolf Sachs’s yearlong exploration of landscape and speed across the UNESCO World Heritage Rhaetian Albula/Bernina Railway line. In his most recent photographic project Camera in Motion: From Chur to Tirano, photographs were taken from a moving train, capturing the passing landscape in momentum and grasping the instant of a fleeting moment.

Multimedia artist Annina Roescheisen presents her latest work of video art “The Exit Fairytale of Suicide” with the first-ever screening. To coincide with the inaugural, public presentation of this new work, and as part of the artist’s commitment to raise awareness around the topic of suicide, the three screenings of the video (each 5.45 minutes) will be followed by a conversation between the artist and Diana Doko, Chairman & Co-founder of Berlin based suicide prevention organization Freunde fürs Leben e.V. at Soho House Berlin on September 29, 2016 from 7:00- 9:00 PM.
